Endearing and heart-centered, Lauren Plaviak has been a passionate writer and Montessori teacher for years. Born in BC and raised in Saskatchewan, she studied Psychology at the University of Regina, only to realize that she was far more excited about the field of natural health and wellness.
After finishing her degree and managing a successful health food store, she moved back to BC in 1992 to help create the dream of Alive Academy of Nutrition: a school that would successfully teach and certify students across the globe.
Lauren's passion led her to Kenya in 1998 on another dream of teaching children, where her body, mind, and soul took a dramatic and wonderful shift.
Lauren currently resides in a unique co-housing village in Langley with her two beautiful men, husband and 10 year old son, living her bliss practicing hot yoga, being in the forest, working on her best-selling book Asante Sana Kenya and teaching children how to honour their light.
