It was winter in Ontario. The year was 1998. I was on a national tour lecturing across Canada. One night Tracy, Ruby and I decided to visit world famous Horseshoe Falls. Niagara Falls is actually a collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the border between New York State and Ontario.

Well, one thing’s for sure. Our brains are getting smaller. That’s right, that’s what scientists now claim. The consensus among those with enough intelligence left to care and do the research, is that our brains are much smaller than the brains of our ancestors some 20,000 years ago … and what’s more, this loss of brain mass is actually related to the introduction and widespread influence of agriculture.

In this third and final section, Id like to focus on what I call the Essential Keys to Training Success. These essential keys include Nutrition, Consistency, Intensity, Sleep and Attitude. Keep in mind what "essential" means. Must have. Not an option. Do or die.

In the initial stages of training, your own bodyweight and machines such as Nautilus, Hammer Strength, Cam II, Apex, Strive, and Flex are useful to prepare for more advanced exercises using free weights. The line of motion in machines is "fixed" throughout a specific range of exercise motion, preventing any deviation of movement away from the guided plane.
