Team CHI Highway to Health Sports Nutrition Tour

Cory and Tracy Holly, Executive Directors of CHI, are currently engaged on a World Highway to Health Tour promoting health and fitness education to consumers, health and fitness professionals, athletes, gyms, fitness centers and health food stores. The tour is designed to expand the CHI student and member network by visiting hundreds of cities worldwide and lecturing on behalf of CSNA students and members located in twenty countries.

After an extensive two year RV tour of Canada and 20 U.S. States, during which time they visited over 1300 health food stores, 500 gyms and 40 universities, Cory and Tracy relocated in Honolulu, which served as the location for CHI Camp Hawaii April 2010.

After lecturing at the University of Hawaii, competing with the Hawaiian Masters Athletics Track & Field Team, mastering the art of bodysurfing, a very successful Camp and an eight month tour of the Hawaiian Islands, Cory and Tracy have returned to beautiful British Columbia.

Cory and Tracy plan to remain in BC for the remainder of 2010 to complete the new CHI Teachers Program for CSNA Masters, coordinate new course development with INFOFIT, conduct local seminars, visit with friends and family and enjoy the great outdoors of BC, before continuing on with their world tour.

    He-Said She-Said July 2010

    Summary

What's Cooking: Homemade Russian Beet Borsht soup. Simple to make and delicious. High carbs low protein. High in potassium, trace elements and minerals. Serve with a salad and a lean protein or have a bowl just by itself. Mint dill is the special ingredient. Leave overnight to bring out the flavor. Stay away from commercial super market canned soups.

Last Month's Special Guest: Anthony Almada. A wonderful guest very passionate about his own health and genuinely dedicated to helping others achieve better health. Anthony hails from California. He is formally trained, self-taught and has had several great mentors. Anthony is a sports nutrition scientist and pioneer. Anthony and Ed Byrd originally created EAS. Anthony is a reliable resource and strongly believes in the power of science.

CHI Highway to Health Update: Cory's in Canmore Alberta visiting his brother Robbie. Beautiful and scenic. Incredible mountain views and fantastic hiking. Plenty of wildlife including elk, deer, mountain goats, big horn sheep, moose, cougars and bears. Tracy's in Cranbrook BC visiting her sister Leigh. Both Canmore and Cranbrook are small towns loaded with super friendly highly optimistic local people. Outdoor activity is the norm. Plenty of hunters and fisherman. Boating is also very popular. Lots of beautiful clean, fresh water lakes. Everyone has a truck or SUV or RV. Elk has been a favorite meal cooked rare and served with fresh greens and yams or kale.

Spending time with young children keeps you young. Children can learn many important life lessons by spending time with insects, reptiles and strange animals. Nature is the greatest teacher of all. Watch the TV show called LIFE. Eat or be eaten. Everything is about survival. Humans still have a long way to go. We must protect ourselves from predators. Training for health on a regular basis provides strength and endurance and agility for outdoor hiking, canoeing and outdoor fun. Surround yourself with raw nature if you want to find or search for the truth. High altitude living clears out your brain. Small towns are less pretentious than big cities. Fashion is less about looks and more about hanging loose, and being functional. Form follows function not marketing hype.

Tracy's Final Word: If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous he will not bite you.
This is the principle difference between a dog and a man.
